Hello everyone, welcome back to my crash course! Today we'll be going over how to write the unique value proposition for your reports. This post will be geared toward entrepreneurship events, but I hope you can find some useful tips regardless of your written event!
Week 7: The UVP |
The unique value proposition can certainly be one of the shorter sections of your report, but that can also make it tricky to write! It's important to be concise and effective about the unique features your product offers. I typically like to pack some key features of my product into a sentence, and dive into these characteristics in a paragraph or so. However, I've also seen people just state a few sentences and move on; the format of this section is really up to you!
Now, I've actually found really great resources online about how to go about writing your UVPs. And obviously, why would I bother writing out advice if other sources are super concise :)? I've decided to simply provide them below with a summary instead.

- This is a great, comprehensive guide! 10/10 would recommend!
- It basically says to define key features of your product, then narrow the list down to the best, unique features. Next, pack all of this into one sentence, and there you have your UVP!

- How to Write a Great Proposition
- This one comes with an infographic 😍! Yet another reason why I'll lazily refer you to this instead of doing any of my own work 👌.
- 7 Proven Templates for Writing Value Propositions That Work
- I wouldn't necessarily recommend using a template, but these can provide some inspiration if you're still confused on the structure of a UVP.
I hope you find these sources useful! If you have any business-related questions, let me know in the comments below or here. This series is for all of you, so make sure you get the most out of it :).
