Lots Going On!

Everyone, today is a big day for this blog! Okay, the first thing I want to say is that yesterday was... drumroll please... the blog's 1st anniversary! I have been posting for 1 year, and it has been a great experience to share my views with people from InternetWorld :) Just keep reading, and I'll keep blogging!
The next thing I have to say is: this is the 50th post. There are 52 weeks in a year, and this year I have done 50 posts, so I think my blogging amount is pretty fine. Wow, I mean, 50 posts doesn't seem like a lot, but it is. Again, thanks for supporting this blog guys ;)
Last thing everyone, Happy New Year's Eve! All of us have a whole new year to plan out, improve ourselves, and have fun with! Awesome! Although, every December 31st brings back memories of the year, and hopefully those are all happy ones. I wonder what everyone will do this year, any parties or anything planned? Whatever you do, don't miss the ball drop, and have a great night!

P.S. Don't forget to read about my cruise adventure, posted yesterday!

Cruising Away!

Hey everyone! I know you guys must be intrigued to find out what this title means, and I know you have a guess, so let me just say one thing: If you guessed I went on a cruise, you're right!
I know cruising over winter break must sound, um, weird (not to mention cold), but it wasn't. We were going to Mexico, where it is really warm. Anyways, this was my first ever cruise, and I must say it was great! Okay, so I won't lie, sometimes the ship rocked a little too much too handle, but it's not like I got really sick or anything, just dizzy. The funny part about the rocking was when people were going left in the dining room, and suddenly the ship shook, they moved over to the right! Oh, and speaking of the dining room, the food was plentiful! For breakfast, there were pancakes, waffles, omelets, oatmeal, sandwiches, fresh fruits, croissants, bagels, cake, and tons of more little goodies. For lunch, cuisine changed every day, going from "Good Eats" to "American Favorites". What I noticed, though, was that if the boat rocked a lot in the morning, I didn't feel as bad as I did if it rocked in the night. I think it had something to do with all the heaviness of the food. So on the third day, I grabbed some oatmeal (okay, and about 3 spoonfuls of brown sugar, couldn't pass that up :) ) for breakfast and a yummy salad for lunch. I felt much lighter for dinner, which was good since there was this mouth-watering fettuccine with mushroom sauce. Oh, by the way, for dinner every night, there was a grand dining room with fancy tablecloths, cutlery, and other fancy stuff. One night, we even had a formal dining night, which was pretty fun.
Besides the food, there were also many comedy shows and other entertainment forms, like the movie "Jurassic World". Overall, I think I had a pretty fun time.
What did you guys do over the week? Tell me all about it, I would love to hear!

Winter Break!

Hey everyone! The holiday break has just begun, and I am really enjoying the fact that I don't need to wake up early, do homework, or study for tests. Winter break is utter peace, just like summer. I wish that there was winter break every month. How awesome would that be?
Nothing much going on around here. I'm wondering what to ask for for Christmas. I probably will ask for a few books or something, but if anyone has any recommendations, post in the comments below!
Anyone going out to the snow? I'm not, but it would be totally fun to ski or snowboard or something. Although, I am not so good at skiing. You know, the worst part is when you have to trudge up the hill again in your skis. Talk about exhausting! But I think that it is still a great sport, especially when I can do it at times without falling :) .
I hope you guys have an awesome Christmas break! And an early happy new year, although I plan to post once more before then! Make sure to vote on the poll, too.

Hey everyone! The book review of Diary of a Wimpy Kid Old School is up!
Don't forget to vote on the poll about Christmas!

Thanksgiving!

Hey everyone! Today, I feel very excited for Thanksgiving! I can't wait for pie! I actually can eat any pie that is served to me; in a range from pumpkin, to apple, and cherry. I'm not too picky, all though pecan pie is especially good as well. Yum!
Well, I'm not going to waste this whole post talking about pie! Although, that would be pretty fun :) . You know, one thing I've always wondered is why is Thanksgiving always on the 4th Thursday of November? I mean, I know the pilgrims celebrated Thanksgiving on that day and all, but why didn't they mark the date? Why didn't they write down that Thanksgiving would be celebrated on the 25th or something every year? If you know why, then tell me in the comments!
 Merry Thanksgiving everyone!
(What? Christmas isn't the only merry thing around here!)

Missing Out

Hi guys! This post was mainly to say that I won't be able to post an arts and crafts project this week :( . I really need to study over the weekend, so maybe I can post on the weekday or something. Well, have a good week!

Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! What did your schools do to celebrate yesterday? One of my teachers played video on the history of Halloween. The video was surprisingly funny.
So what are you guys dressing up as? I still haven't decided on a costume! I don't what I will wear for trick-or-treating. Are any of you guys going? I am going with my friend, and we plan to leave early so we can haul in the candy! No, just kidding. Although, we do plan on going early so that it won't be to dark and so we can eat candy before dinner. Have a great time everybody, and post in the comments about what/who you are going to be! Oh, and check out the quick crafts for Halloween in the Arts and Crafts section!

Book Covers

I was just thinking about what I do to save my book covers at the start of summer. Basically, I put one into another's little pouch, then roll it up to make a ball using the opposite end. Then I stuff the ball in another book cover and so on. The end is a ball of book covers, and I can just peel off a book cover when I need one! It is really squishy, actually.
Do you guys do anything to your school supplies to store them easily for the school year? I know it is early to be asking by the way, but post in the comments anyways!

Snacks!

Hi everyone! I really did not know what to post about so I decided to make a list of my favorite healthy snacks. I think next week I might do unhealthy junk ;) , but for now I think I will stick to foods that actually help you. Enjoy!

  • Carrots and broccoli with Ranch (everything tastes better with Ranch, am I right?)
  • Celery with peanut butter
  • Those sweet peppers you can buy at practically any store.
  • Berries: blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries
  • Apples, bananas, strawberries, kiwi, mango
  • Lychee! That is literally my favorite fruit. Although I am not sure how healthy they really are, but they must be healthier than chocolate.
  • Shakes with the fruits I mentioned above.
  • Nuts (I like all kinds, especially pecans)
Well, that's all for this week. Please vote on the poll about you favorite Disney character, and check out the crafts in the new section!

Busy week!

I have been way to busy with homework this week! Teachers should really give only ten minutes per subject. I am really sick of spending twenty minutes trying to finish up one worksheet and then moving to finish another page for another subject! Can any of you guys relate?
You know, if no one had homework teachers would have less to do and the students would actually be able to do something than homework on the weekdays! Although, homework is really helpful.
Anyways, I have had a busy week trying to balance all my classes and clubs out! Thank goodness I can relax now. Although, I do have a test on Wednesday to study for, and then another on Thursday. Ugh... well, just please vote on the poll and check out week 2 of the arts and crafts. Did you guys to the fantastic little magazine? Have fun everyone!

Yay!

There are 2 reasons I am happy today:

  1. The Arts and Crafts page is up and running! Woohoo! Come weekly for crafts and other art!
  2. We bought this mixture that contains wasabi peas! I really love wasabi peas, even though I felt like crying today because one stung so much...
So anyways, have fun in the new page, and make sure to vote on this week's poll!

I just wanted to let you guys know that I have updated the jokes, riddles, and puzzles section. Have fun!
Do you guys have any ideas for my arts and crafts section? I am looking for a lot of crafts right now, so speak up!

New Page!

I know what you guys are thinking: No, not another page! You can barely keep up with your posts and book reviews, and now you are adding another thing to you blogging list of things to do! Come on, you won't be able to do it.
Okay guys. I know, I know. But let me tell you something: I think I deserve another chance. September is such a busy month and I have been swamped with homework! But I have found time for crafting lately, so I have decided one of the only ways to keep up with this blog is to start an arts and crafts section! So what do you guys think? I will post on this page weekly for a while, so you guys are guaranteed something for now, am I right? :) Oh, and BTW, check out my new update to the Save the Earth section about animals!

One Short Weekend

Honestly, I can't believe Saturday is almost over! That's, like, half the weekend gone! I was basically just crafting stuff the whole morning, and I totally lost track of time. I just hope I can quickly go visit a store or something today.
I need new poll ideas, you guys! So if you guys have any, just post them in the comments. All ideas are good ideas, right?

Books...

Guess what? I went to the library today, and came out with only 2 books! I can't believe it! I usually come out, with like, 8 of them or something. Oh well. At least the books are good. One is from a series called Luv Ya Bunches by Lauren Myracle. I think it is super cool that one of the girls in the story is really into website designing and designs a mini version of google, with chatting, blogging, cute emoticons, and more. Wouldn't is be so cool to design that?
Anyways, I hope you guys all have fun tonight! Au revoir! Sorry about the short post by the way...

Crafting Overload!

Hey everyone! School started for my district, so I have had lots of fun! I can't wait to start writing essays, even though that sounds so weird. I hope you guys have fun in your schools, because honestly, if you don't have fun, school will be fun. So I have heard that if you pretend to be excited, you actually might be. Well, apply the strategy if needed. :)
Now that summer is over, I have been getting a lot of craft ideas! Ugh! I don't have time now! Sometimes I get mad at my brain. Do you guys get angry too? If you do, then, um, please help me. And if any you guys have craft addictions, please help solve mine! :D

Lazy

Hey y'all, what's up! So the thing is, I have not been doing any book reviews recently because I am feeling way too lazy to review. The reason I am writing this is so that I feel guilty whenever I see my home page.  :)
Anyways, you should be expecting a book review soon, because I read an amazing book! And don't forget to vote on the poll right next to this post. Plus, I hope you guys are excited to start school; mine starts soon and I am excited (!). Although, I don't know if I really should be excited because of the amount of homework I am going to get :( ... maybe there is such a thing as taking too many advanced courses...

Whatever Happened To Clear Vision?

I am totally mad that my glasses have broken! The whole side frame has fallen off, but the worst part is that my new glasses won't come until a week or so. And I can't even really fix these, because one screw is lost, and the other screw is there but the glasses frame just snapped off! I really wish that I didn't have to use clear tape for now, because I look really funny and it totally shows. Does anybody have any suggestions for me? What should I do in this sticky situation (get it, because the tape is sticky)?

School Supply Shopping

Hey everyone! I can't wait for school to start, and I especially can't wait to do some school supply shopping! I just love staring at the aisles and aisles of supplies, in colors from white to black, red to blue! I like choosing my binder, smelling the smell of new crayons, buying fresh pencils with erasers that you can actually see (!), opening notebooks with endless in 50 different colors, feeling erasers that are whole and rubbery, and buying awesome clothes!
Yeah, I mean, clothes aren't really supplies, but they are important none the less! :)
How many of you guys are excited for school to start? How many of you guys are starting from scratch at a new school? And who likes school supply shopping the most here?

Mars One

Sooooooooo I heard some news yesterday.
About space.
Mainly that PEOPLE WERE LEAVING THEIR FAMILIES TO GO TO MARS AND NEVER COME BACK AND JUST LIVE THERE!
I don't get the purpose of this. There is not one mall, lake, or other scenic or fun place. There is also no pizza or chips. Plus, you can't see your family ever again! You won't be able to tell anyone what you are seeing besides mission control. I don't know why on earth people would want to go up there. Yeah, it is gonna be pretty cool, but only for about a day at max. There is only so much red rock you can look at. Plus, there are only gonna be 3 other people besides you, and they are total strangers.
And yet more than 150,000 people signed up. Of course, only 4 people will go, but still. I just don't get the will to leave everything behind and just go without even knowing if you can breathe for a day or survive without gravity. It might be cool to be famous and live on another planet, because it is only another place or whatever, but is it worth risking your life, never seeing your family, and never coming back from the lonely world of, well, space?

Busy, Busy

I have a lot to do now that it is almost August. Classes are resuming, and we only have about a month to enjoy summer. I am just really happy that summer comes every year, and not just once every decade or something. Or else, I would probably fail school. Just kidding. Sort of.
Uh, anyways, I have a lot to do, but at least I can still enjoy at the library or park or wherever. Thank goodness for AC and the shops nearby! I hope that all of you enjoy August, and I hope to post real soon, and not just a mini post like this one.

Beach Day!

Several days ago, I went to the beach! I just loved the sand, water, and sand and water! :) But the problem was that the tides were really high that day, so I couldn't swim far. And I mean the tides were like really high! 20 feet away from the tides, they were way taller than me! But I had fun, even without getting to swim and just wading. We went for a walk, and that was great since the view was really scenic and all. The best part was that there were only like 10 other people! And the beach was big, so it was like having a private beach! The funniest part was when my family friend started burying me in the sand. LOL! I got buried until my waist. When I got up, it felt like I had 10 pounds of sand on me! What do you guys like to do on the beach?

What Not To Ask Siri

People ask Siri a lot of things. That is because Siri is pretty cool, right? But did you know that Apple yet has a big bug to fix? If you ask Siri to charge your phone to 100%, do you know what it does? (Don't try it, just read the rest of this post.) It calls the emergency crew! You did not read wrong folks! Siri does call police, etc. when you ask it to charge your phone to 100%, but gives only you 5 seconds to cancel the call!!!!!!! This is highly dangerous. I read this from a website, so please don't try this at home. Here is the link if you would like to find out more

No more movies!

The last 3 posts have been all about my movie watching, so I am not going to blog about them for a while. :) I have recently been going to a camp with many things to do like sewing and stuff, and I have been reading Sew Zoey books to inspire me. I am going to type up a book review today for one of the books! I know you guys are missing my book reviews right? Since you are not answering, let me take that as a yes!
Sorry I haven't posted in 4 days, but I have not been feeling well. As in, I had a fever and coughed every 10 seconds. I feel better today, at least, so hopefully I can get out of the house soon. I just hate being stuck at home when I am sick. Well, I suppose it is better than being stuck in the hospital. Luckily, I only had a light cold for 2 days; nothing hospital worthy. But honestly, how did I end up getting a cold in the summer?

Hilarious Movie

Guess what? Yesterday, I watched a movie called "Dunston Checks In". It was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen! It is about this guy who trains a monkey (Dunston) to steal stuff for him. Once the guy goes in a hotel, Dunston starts stealing. But his master is not very nice, and Dunston doesn't like him, so he runs out of the room. Meanwhile, the 5 star hotel they are staying in is trying to become a 6 star hotel, so a monkey in the hotel does not help. As the manager's 2 kids have their adventures with the monkey, hilarious things happen, and there is an unexpected ending.
That movie was just so funny, that I could really just not stop laughing. And even though the movie was made in the '90s, it does not seem too old, and the fashion is not really different, sice everything is formal anyway. This movie gets 5 stars from me, and this might sound like a movie review, but watch it if you can. My friend said it is on Netflix, though I am not sure, but you will definitely love it if you find it.

Inside out

Hey everyone! Today my family is gonna go watch a movie! I know I am not really a fan of movies, but we are gonna watch the movie "Inside Out". Have any of you guys seen that movie yet? I hear it is about 6 or 7 characters in peoples' heads that control them, and basically about emotions. Yeah, I know I am not that good at describing things, but I trust that this movie will be good.
I really want to watch the movie "Minions", which was released today! Wouldn't it be cool if you could be in the audience of a movie showing the first show ever? I would totally love to be in the audience. Though nothing special is really there, you just know everything before your friends do. LOL. I am just kidding.
So check out the the new "Save the Earth" section, and don't forget to vote on the poll!

It Is time to Party!!!!!

Partying has started for me! I just love it! All the friends, food, and fun in one place! Summer parties are especially fun, because it is not cold at all, so dresses can be shown off. :)
Summer parties are also fun because we can have pool parties!!!!!!
Pool parties are the best! I just love swimming with my friends and eating fruits and other treats. I have not been to a swimming party recently. I hope  I will at least get to go to one. Who else likes pool parties? Maybe I will do a poll about which types of parties are best. What do you guys vote for, summer backyards or the sleek pools?

Back from Camp

You guys read the title of this post, and that is really all I have to say: I just came back from camp. And for the record, it was not a sleep-away camp or something. It was a day camp.
I have been reduced to the point where that is the most important thing going on. Yikes! Okay, I am exaggerating a little. Let me spice up this post with another email.

From:notprimadonnagirl

Subject:craft of the century!!!!
OMG I discovered a new craft this year, and that is making little adorable animals out of pom-poms! They are tots. adorb! Like, my sister has the kit where you can make any animal by twirling yarn around a fork and cutting. That is actually how to make a cute mini pom-pom, and then u join them all 2gethter and get a cute animal. My favorite craft, and u can tell bcuz I actually spelled the word favorite instead of spelling fave. I mean, who does that in the 21st century. ;)
Check this out. It is called Mini Pom Pom Pets, and it is a Klutz product. Have fun crafting this summer!

BTW, what did you guys think of the new save the earth section?

Lots of Posting

I think you guys should check out my blog every other day from now on because I am posting more than usual. Case in point:
   I posted on the 1st.
   I posted on the 3rd.
And now I am posting on the 4th.
:) I think many of you guys know it is 4th of July, and if you happen to be reading this post later, then just go along with it please even if it is the 5th or whatever. Who here is doing a BBQ? Please show a raise of hands. Just kidding. I can't see your hands so keep them on the computer. I am going to a county fair for today so that should be fun. Just don't ask me what it is called because I have no clue. Anyways, I really hope you guys have a fun Fourth of July while you swim, have bbqs, visit relatives, etc. It only comes once a year! And remember to thank those freedom fighters who helped our country be free. YAAAAY!
P.S. Check out the newest section called Save the Earth!

Movies and the Clique

Everyone likes a good movie. I mean seriously. Like even if you don't like sitting in a theater in the dark with nothing to do but stare at a screen, you will (I say this confidently) like at least one movie. I really don't like movies because they are really long, but some of them are pretty good. I won't name names, because then I will just start telling about the plot and etc, and this will turn into a movie review post. Which I do not want it to be, as you can tell because I do not like watching very many movies.
I do like reading though. I am currently reading the Clique by Lisi Harrison. It is a pretty good series. I won't spoil too much bcuz I want to do a book review on one of the books. Check it out online or something. Don't forget to vote on the poll, and have a great July!

Heading to Camp!

Hello everyone! This summer has been crazy busy for me with all my extracurriculars. But I have still managed to squeeze fun into my schedule becuz of my summer camp! It is a pretty good camp with fun activities, but I think I liked it better last year. Maybe it was because it was my first year there or something. I have also noticed patterns like these when I read. Like, the first book in a series is always the best, and quality degrades a bit until you can't take it and stop reading the rest of the books in the series. Except that there are a few exceptions like Divergent, which is really good and the only one I didn't like that much was Four, but everyone has different tastes, right?
Don't forget to vote on the poll, and I will try to start posting twice a week now! I will also put a book review, so keep waiting and reading.

Monkey Chase

When you go to a historical site, do you expect a monkey to try to hit you and chase you? I didn't. But when I was leaving from the site by walking down the hill, a monkey started running behind me! Well he wasn't chasing me, but I was in his path. So when he was just four feet behind me, and about to leap, my mom told me to quickly run. Those monkeys were actually dangerous, and about 3 feet tall. Luckily I moved and the monkey didn't notice. My mom told me that the monkey was agitated because people were teasing the monkeys. That was something to remember!
How's summer going for all of you guys? I am having fun. Check out the jokes section, and vote in the poll! Have fun!

Summer Vacation Is Finally Here!!!!

Everyone dreams about the first day of summer vacation, and it is finally here!!!! YAY!!!! I am so excited to have 10 weeks of school just to myself. I am gonna go swimming, blog a lot, read a bunch of novels, go to the mall, and just hang out with my friends. All I know (for sure) is that this summer will be memorable! I hope the same for you guys. And even though I am mostly gonna stay at home, there are still a bunch of things to do bcuz my mom takes me to Micheals to buy crafts for the summer! Woo-hoo!
I think you guys can tell that I am excited for summer. Mainly because I am squealing in the paragraph above.  :)  But I can't wait for school too, next year, but I would like it to take it's time. I know this post is pretty short, but I will have more time to write because of SUMMER VACATION! And I am sorry if my last few posts sound repetitive about summer vacationn :) . Oh! I have something funny to share! After our last day of math class, everyone started kicking and ripping the math books apart (they weren't the textbook kind, they were the write-in kind). It was like an awesome madhouse. Did people in your class rip apart their books?

What are your summer plans?

Hey everyone! Who is excited for summer vacation? I am! It will be so nice to relax for a while, then sleep in, and then pig out on candy and other useless junk people make to ruin your appetite. My family is doing something new this summer: we are gonna have a lot of parties. Even though these will be with family friends, I am gonna try to convince my parents about inviting more of my friends.
Do any of you guys like BBQs? I am gonna have so much fun eating corn fresh off the grill. I am also so excited to go to the pool and meet all my friends there. It will be awe-some!
So I can't wait for summer. But I will miss my awesome teachers. But next year will be great, hopefully at least. What are your summer plans? Have fun, and don't forget to vote!

Long Weekend

What are you all doing for memorial day weekend? I am planning to relax and finish a part of one research paper. I hope this weekend is super fun! I totally love long weekends because it is like having 2 Saturdays! What could be better? I only wish the library was open on Monday so I could spend the whole day there :) but unfortunately it is not :(. I guess librarians need weekend breaks too!
I can't believe Rachel Russell (the author of Dork Diaries) is going on another tour! Squueee! I totally wish she would come to my state so I could snag some free stuff. Plus, meeting her would be pretty cool. I have never been to book signings but I have heard they are really busy. Have any of you gone before?
Vote on the poll this week and have fun during the loooooong weekend!

Save the Polar Bear!

Many of you guys most likely know that this earth is suffering from greenhouse gases. But many of you guys probably do not know that polar bears are dying because of this. Why? Since the earth is growing hotter, the ice caps are melting. So polar bears have very less space to live. So they might go extinct soon! :( But if lots of people pitch in, we can save the polar bears. There are tons of sites that help the environment and especially polar bears! Squeeeee! Here is a site that I found quite interesting: http://www.polarbearsinternational.org
Anyway, I am thinking about starting a new section on the blog. So all y'all gotta keep reading here, and don't forget to vote on the polls! There should be about two new reviews coming soon! KR (keep reading!)

Poll winner and Field Trip

I am really happy to say that the snickerdoodle cookie won the poll last week! I love snickerdoodles because they are very soft and cinnamon-y. Is that a word? It should be. Anyway, I am very sorry I have not been able to post in the last week or so. I was really busy.
Let me tell you about the visit to the Tech Museum. It was pretty fun because I have never been there before. There was just one activity based on DNA, I wish I had done. My group was next in line, but then the man said that he had to clean up. It looked really cool from what I saw. There was this jelly-like material, and you had to drop all of these other DNA like gecko DNA and what not, then when it spread you could keep it as a souvenir. I really liked it. But at least, we got to go to the gift shop. It was pretty good, but nothing was really new. All museums pretty much have gems and mineral books. But the Tech Museum had this Minecraft section with the merchandise. It was kinda funny. So yes, it was all fun :)
Don't forget to vote in this weeks poll. The book review is here, so check that out too.

Hey guys!

Indian food won the poll. I think I might do a poll on book types, like which books are better: ones about surviving middle school, nonfiction ones, baking clubs and others, etc. I hope we get a lot of voters on this weeks poll, about yummy cookies!
I was writing  something for a project, and I was really stuck on what to do, but then suddenly, BING!, a lightbulb pops over my head! Do you guys ever have those moments? I love them. One minute you are moping and scratching your head until all the hair falls out, and the next you are a genius. With regrown hair, I guess. Don't ask me about this hair stuff, though. Trust me, my hair advice is not the best. But my candy advice is. ALMOND ROCA is what I say. SOOOOOOO good! Almond Roca is a butter-crunch hard toffee covered with chocolate and shreds of almonds. My mom cuts it for me since my braces would probably fall off since the candy is like rock. Tasty rock. Eww. That sounds gross. Hey, I think I know why they named it Almond Roca, because it is as hard as a rock! Rock, roca, get it?
Anyway, I hope you guys have an outstanding next week, and I will post soon! Oh, and there should be a new book review coming up! Hang in there, readers!

What's in the Kitchen?

I love baking cookies and cakes and cupcakes and pretty much everything imaginable! That's why we baked sugar cookies on the 1st. Okay, I'll confess, I love licking the spoon a little more than I like to stir the batter. How many of you guys do too? Okay, maybe I am the only one out there. Never mind.
I also like making little chocolates out of those chocolate melts and wrappers. It is pretty easy to melt the chocolate: microwave it in a bowl. Then you use spoons to pour it in the cups. After freezing, it is feast time! Last year, I made white and dark chocolates swirled together. Soooooo good. Do you guys have any tasty treats you love to make? I know one of my friends who does. She is the closest resemblance to a really good baker, and makes all kinds of treats. They look so good!
Anyway, don't forget to vote in this week's poll (fashion show won last week btw), check out the update on the jokes, riddles, and puzzles section, and have a fun week!

Poll winner!

Okay I love Oreos, and apparently so do some of you guys! That's right, an Oreo factory won last weeks poll! Yay! Make sure to vote in this weeks poll and you can actually request ideas for future ones  in the comments if you want.
Anyway, you guys are here cause you wanna know what's going on in my life, right? Well, I just came back from playing tennis and eating food (tennis makes me famished). Yes, I play tennis. It is kind of relaxing and let's me not stress about all the things to well, stress about, I guess. Do sports help you guys unwind and cool down a bit? The problem is, I am really bad with sports in PE. The ball always goes past me, and I am always confused with quarterbacks, goalies, and defense. I almost was a goalie against my own soccer team; so embarrassing. At least I am not a total klutz and my team is pretty nice. And it is more fun playing sports instead of running 2 miles (sorry, running fans). Well, I will try and post soon!

Black History Month

Hello everyone! As you may know, Black History Month is this month! Some classes have to do a project on African American inventors. I learned about this month by watching Ant Farm: InfluANTces. I liked it because it told about Ella Fitzgerald and segregation, Jannet Jackson, and others while being super funny and serious (how do they do it? Someone needs to tell me).  I am now gonna go all random and talk about one of my favorite candies: Zots. They are super awesome because they are huge and you put them on your tongue and then they fizz! You can feel all the fizz on your tongue and it keeps going and going and going. You can buy them at some store like 7-Eleven, but I just rely on the stash my teacher has. Anyways, don't forget to vote in this week's poll! I can't wait to see what you guys choose! I'm keeping up the same one from last week because we have only gotten 1 vote so far! (Really? Please just vote.) Plus, check out the new book review. I know one of my BFF's loves the books.

Yum Yum Yummy!

Hey y'all! The reason why I said yum and all in the title was because my mom made this super tasty pasta for snack/dinner. It looks good, but tastes great! Do your mom have super cool talents that are hidden from all? I guess my mom's talent isn't hidden now, but that's okay, right? Right? You know, not being able to have a conversation has a disadvantage.
My school is participating in something called Pennies for Patients, which is a program that you donate to to help people with leukemia. I think it is great because having someone with leukemia in your family or just knowing them is really sad and unfortunate. Leukemia is a type of cancer that can damage your body greatly. I will definitely donate as much as I can, and if your schools are doing something like this, don't forget to either.
Well, thanks for reading. Don't forget to vote in the weekly poll! You guys have one day for last week's since I extended it. Let your inner voter shine through! BTW, you can pick multiple answers, so enjoy! Remember, keep calm and read my post on. (I am still working on it.)

Happy February!

Hello all! Sorry I didn't post last week. My record is now tarnished, heh heh. Or maybe I should be saying "waaa" or something. But last week was just super crazy! I had the flu, so it was really boring. I just stayed at home and drank chicken soup and ate rice. The medicine was actually kinda good and all, because it was Tylenol and it is really sugary for kids.
The weird thing was, my teacher was sick, too. I thought that he would be be back by the time I came back to school, which was on Friday. At least Friday seemed really great. I mean, it was really great. There was no one telling you to keep resting, we played a game in math class, and the sun was shining and the birds were chirping, just like in those movies. I also loved seeing the look of shock and surprise when my friends saw me standing in line or right behind them! Basically, coming back from the flu is way more fun than lounging on the recliner and watching TV for three hours (I only did it once. Besides, it was boring). It is great to be back!
How do you guys feel when you guys come back after being sick: buried by homework, or more like fun in the sun?

Guess where I went!

I went to science camp! It was sooooo fun and awesome! I kissed a banana slug, hermit crab, and hugged a tree called Big Red. The camp was about two hours away, which meant a fun bus ride with my friends. The food was really tasty, and they even had pancakes once! I was also lucky to have (pretty much) all my friends in my cabin. The only bad part was that the bathrooms were super crowded since there was a total of 2 schools there (girls). Tide pooling was also great, I saw a lot of hermit crabs and touched sea anemone. (Isn't it weird that the word is pronounced a-ne-no-me but spelled anemone?) We also ate these flowers that were called "sour flowers" and tasted sour, kind of like sour-patches without sugar. We also ate redwood clovers or something, and just one of those had enough Vitamin C to last for a day! The naturalist said not to eat more than 2, but I ate 5 and didn't get a stomachache like she said I would.
As you can tell, Science Camp rocked! It was a great experience. Are any of you guys going on exciting field trips? I can't wait until we go bowling. It is always a blast! BTW, I extended the poll, so vote while you can! And look out for the update on the Jokes, Riddles, and Puzzles section.

Great Week!

OMG! I'm so excited! So many great things have been happening! And it was all this week! Here's a list:

  1. I got Aphrodite the Fair!
  2. My next field trip is gonna be awesome! I will probably write a blog post on it. I am just super excited!
  3. We had a lawyer guest who came to school to judge our class debate. It was cool.
Well, that's pretty much all there is. It was a great week, and I hope it will be like this a lot. And please, Please, PLEASE vote in this week's poll. I love to vote in these things, personally, so that's why I put one up. I really hope this week's poll will be much more "crowded" than last week's. Oh, and the career goal poll had low results, so I will not give them.

I'm so excited!

Hey y'all! The previous week's poll resulted in the highest number of votes for partying with friends. I agree that partying is awesome! I love all the food, food, and more food. Just kidding. I like spending quality time with my friends and not wasting a moment by talking, gossiping, and just chilling. What could be better than that?
Make sure to vote in the next poll about your career goal! (It is anonymous.)
I can't wait for the week of the 20th! There is going to be a huge blog post soon! I really wish I could tell my readers everything, but I want to build up suspense. Anyways, the surprise is for later. Guess what? I'm going to get Goddess Girls: Aphrodite the Fair! It came out in December so I'm sooooooooooo excited! I probably will not review it, but I can if you want me to. Just post in the comments and I shall do it. Your wish is my command, oh loyal readers. Hah! I'm not a genie, but I wish I was. I'll still review the book, though. And feel free to comment a suggestion for a good read so I can review it.
Our science fair in school is coming up. Have any of you ever taken part? I will. Are any of you interested? I think it is a good opportunity to show your knowledge, but I kind of wish it was in another subject. Maybe math, art, or writing. I like those subjects. Well, that's all for now. I'll post soon.

Movie Talk

I can't believe it's 2015! 2014 went by so fast! I had so much to remember, oh the sorrow, oh the heartbreak. Now there's no holiday until...February. It's still far away. Now there are more tests, quizzes, homework assignments, projects, and stress increases. Why, oh why, did break feel so short?
Well, enough about my sorrow. Yesterday, I went to the movies and watched "Into the Woods". It said PG, but I personally thought it should have been PG10 or something (and I know there is no such thing as PG10). It was pretty good, though. It was about some of the fairy tale characters meeting each other and finding out they needed to be together. There was also this curse with a witch and..., actually, why don't you guys just watch it. I'm a major spoiler. I literally bug my friends 'till they say I can spoil a part for them.
Well, I hope you check back soon, readers. Oh, and thank you guys for viewing my blog so much. I'll try to post 1-3 times a week. Also, make sure to vote in the weekly polls I give out before they close. Oh, and don't worry about your name being shown in the poll when you vote. It just shows the percentages. Well, that's it for now!
