Special Edition: Halloween!

Hi guys! Since we have a few hours left until it is time to trick-or-treat, I have a few fun ideas for quick crafts. Enjoy this first yummy snack!

The first craft is making tasty gloves turn into spooky popcorn-filled hands! All you need is one of those thin, see-through plastic gloves, five pieces of candy corn, and a lot of popcorn!

  1. Take your glove and the candy corn. Put one candy corn piece in the place where fingers are supposed to go. These will be the finger "nails" of your hand.
  2. Fill the rest of the plastic glove with popcorn (leaving a bit of space on top to seal it), making sure the popcorn fills the fingers. The candy corn should still remain pointy side down.
  3. Tie the remaining space on the opening into a knot (or tie it with string, your choice). You're done, with one popcorn hand ready to be handed out!
Yum! These are real-looking because of the glove, but also really good! This second craft is a light up spooky creature, made from a mason jar!

This craft is really easy, and will take about 30 minutes to do, depending on how long your paint dries. All you need is a mason jar (with a lid), one black marker, paint, and glow sticks.

  1. Paint your mason jar. You can do white for a ghost, for example, or even orange for a pumpkin! It is up to you.
  2. Wait for your paint to dry. After it does, draw eyes, mouths, and noses using the black marker.
  3. Finally, put your glow sticks in the jar. Now you have some bright, spooky creatures!
This last craft is some decorations that you can do to spice up your window. All you need is paper, markers, and tape!
  1. Bat: Fold a black piece of construction paper in half (so that the paper is still wide, not thin). Then draw half of a bat going outwards from the middle. Cut it out, with the paper still in half. Unfold it, and you have a bat! Just draw a face, tape it on to your window, and you'll have a spooky creature.
  2. Ghost: Sketch out many ghosts on a piece of white construction paper. Draw on some scary faces, and then cut them out. Tape them all around your window for a haunting scene.
  3. Jack-o-lantern: Draw out a pumpkin on orange construction paper. You can draw lines coming out of the stem, to make it look more real. Cut out some eyes, a nose, and a mouth out of black construction paper and glue them on to the pumpkin for a jack-o-lantern!
  4. Candy corn: Draw a round-cornered triangle on orange construction paper. Then draw in 3 lines to divide it up horizontally. Glue some white paper on the top, and yellow paper on the bottom. Tape these fun pieces on to your window, too!
Well, I hope you guys will attempt these 3 crafts, and have a great Halloween.
